Latta honors students accepted to military academies

U.S. Representative Bob Latta recognized and honored students from Ohio’s Fifth Congressional District on their acceptance to one of the U.S. Military Service Academies at a reception on Sunday, May 5, at Camp Perry in Port Clinton. The students were nominated by Latta and have received offers of appointment for the Class of 2028 at their respective academies.

Mercy Ask the Expert series focuses on mental health

Travel on Ohio Turnpike increases in first quarter

Ohio Turnpike customers logged nearly 648.7 million miles traveling on the toll road during the first quarter of 2024, an increase of 1.1 percent compared to the same three-month period a year ago. Vehicle Miles Traveled Passenger cars traveled 364,974,303 miles, up 1.9 percent; and commercial trucks traveled 283,683,999, up 0.2 percent.

Mercy Perrysburg recognizes staff during Nurses’ Week

Throughout Nurses’ Week, which ran from May 6 to 12, the team at Mercy Health–Perrysburg Hospital celebrated the work nurses do every day for patients and the community. Each day, an RN or a team was recognized with an award to thank them for their work and patient care.

Legion seeks names of deceased veterans
